Automated Vehicle Wash
Nature of dispute / problem:
Allegations were made that the automated car wash caused serious damage to a customers vehicle, in particular the automatic safety devices failed and the brush mechanism damaged the car sun roof.
Work carried out inluded:
- Examined the vehicle wash in operation
- Assessed the automatic transport mechanism and sensors detecting the presence and location of a vehicle
- Examined the motion sensors on the rotating brush mechanism and their emergency stop function
- Analysis of error code history and in particular the computer stored data for the time of the incident.
- Work reported in written form for the Court
