Automatic Belt Fryer
Nature of dispute / problem:
Allegations were made that the design and manufacture of the automatic belt fryer was not fit for purpose and that the machine did not meet the required safety standards. The fryer was intended for frying peas, seds, nuts etc and was required to operate continuously to food safety standards.
Work carried out included:
- Detailed review of the design
- Examination of the prototype machine
- Assssment of exisiting machine and its operation
- Visit to Greece to assess the design and manufacture of new fryer
- Witness and report on the operational performance trials
