Automatic Powered Gates - vehicular access
Nature of dispute / problem:
Allegations made that both the sliding and swing gates were a risk to members of the public and were not safe, were not designed and constructed to the relevant standards and regulations , including CMD.
Work completed:
- Examination of each of the 9 automatic powered gates.
- Tests carried out to measure the operating force of the gates and the functioning of the automatic safety devices.
- Review of the design standards applicable, including CMD.
- Recommendations set out for the remedial action necessary.
