Industrial Sectional Overhead Roller Doors
Nature of dispute / problem:
Allegations had been made that the roller doors had not been installed properly and that on occasions their operation had proved to be unsafe.
Work completed included:
Examined the door installation and operation of the doors.
- Examined the locking and safety devices
- Examined the motorised winding mechanisms
- Examined the inegrity of the connections and support structure.
- Assessed the layout and operation of the guide rails.
Tests were carried out on the operation of the door to determine why the doors jammed on occasions and how they performed when the emergency stop was used.
- Work was reported in written form for the Court.
