Tipping Semi-Trailer (aluminium) - STAS
Nature of dispute / problem:
Following an over turning incident, allegations were made that the stuctural design and stability of the tipper was inadequate for working on rough or uneven terrain.
Work completed:
- Examined tipper vehicles at manufacturer's factory (Belgium)
- Reviewed tipper stability data from tilt-table tests.
- Reviewed finite element analysis (FEA) for various loading condtions.
- Work reported in written form for the Court.
- Attended meeting of experts
